Antec One Gaming Series Mid-Tower Case

Performance Test Platform

The hardware chosen was picked to reflect that of a relatively modern computer system that an enthusiast may own. The configuration of the system is as follows:

  • Intel i5 750 Quad Lynnfield 2.66Ghz
  • Asus P7P55D LE motherboard
  • OCZ 4x2GB DDR3-1333 memory kit
  • XFX Radeon HD6870 1GB video card
  • OCZ Solid 3 120GB solid state drive
  • Corsair VX550W power supply
  • LG Blu-Ray and HD-DVD (GGC-H20L) optical drive

Installation

Overall the components were easy to install and clearances were never a problem, even with a larger CPU cooler.  There is also plenty of room available to install a large video card while keeping good ventilation.  There is a total length of 11 ¾” (30cm) available to install a video card.

The CPU cooler was easy to install with plenty of room to spare thanks to the extra space gained from the top fan design which in turn allows better air flow.

Lack of filters

You cannot tell me that installing a dust filter for the main intake (the front optional 120mm fan) will add much to the manufacturing costs. I wouldn't even worry if it was a manually installed filter that you have to unscrew or pop of the front to access. Just a few little metal clips and 5 cents worth of plastic will ensure that the case doesn't become a dust vacuum. It my firm pre-req for all cases (even cheap ones). No intake filters, no purchase. < /rant>

just built a system with this

just built a system with this case on Saturday. one of the best bang-for-buck cases I've ever seen! true its not the sturdiest case but it does have a lot of the features that high-end cases have, just a slightly cheaper version. I had no problems hiding ALL the cabling behind the motherboard tray. the trick is to lay the wires out in a big loop that spans from the front edge of the motherboard tray to the back edge going around the zip tie spots on the tray. it will look like a sideways ohm symbol. and make sure to lay all of the molex/sata headers flat! if I could upload pics i'd show you what it can look like, not a cable insight. true, I did use a dozen or so more small zip ties than provided. I also moved the top exhaust fan to the front bottom for air intake, as having only exhaust did not make sense to me. this is what the two long screws are for. "Finally, the build quality of the One is at the high level we've grown to expect from our history reviewing Antec cases. At such a low price point, and with an impressive set of features, Antec did a good job and has a winner with the One." spot on assesment! pendragon1

Antec one cable management

Hi, I am interested in this case but some sites say that it isnt all that great for cable management because the space on the backside isnt so much. Am stuck between this and the antec 302. Could you kindly post pictures of your system interior and the backside(behind the mobo) to my email or give me a link? Thanks, my email is skukadia93@gmail.com!
