RunCore Pro V Max 240GB Solid State Drive

Mac Performance Testing Results Continued...

The BlackMagic application tests performance of drives using sequential streams of incompressible data.  Again, the Pro V Max performs similarly to the other SF-2281 based drives with synchronous NAND.  While performance drops compared to with compressible data, but this combination still leads.

Boot speeds with the Pro V Max are fast at 23 seconds.

Like the Windows file copy test, the Pro V Max pulls ahead with smaller file sizes, namely the Document and MP3 filesets.  Copying larger files, where the the transfer is essentially a continuous sequential transfer results in a bit of a speed drop for the Pro V Max compared to other drives in the class.  Keep in mind the filesets for both the Mac and Windows file copy tests are exactly the same.
